Recteal Ointment 0.4% 30g

Recteal ointment is a topical medication containing 0.4% nitroglycerin used primarily for the treatment of moderate to severe pain associated with chronic anal fissures. The ointment relaxes the internal anal sphincter by donating nitric oxide (NO), which improves blood flow to the anal area, facilitating healing and pain relief.

How to use?

Apply 1 inch (about 375 mg) of the ointment intra-anally every 12 hours for up to 3 weeks. Use a finger covered with plastic wrap, disposable glove, or finger cot for application. Insert the ointment gently up to the first finger joint and spread around the anal canal. If insertion is painful, apply the ointment externally around the anus. Wash your hands thoroughly after application.
